2022 Board of Directors Vacancies Below are the current vacancies on the 2021 NYSCEEA Board of Directors. Vice-President (2-year term) The Vice-President holds an important role in the leadership of NYSCEEA and the Board of Directors. This position serves as the second-in-charge and fills in for the President when absent. The Vice-President co-coordinates the three-day conference with the President and organizes committees to assist with conference planning. During years when a three-day conference is not planned, the Vice-President will assist all Board members with providing a one-day professional development program, but will not be responsible for coordinating this event. The Vice-President will also serve as the liaison between NYSCEEA and other relevant, New York-based professional associations. Treasurer (2-year term) The Treasurer is responsible for all financial records and transactions of NYSCEEA and the Board of Directors. The Treasurer is the point of contact with financial institutions, maintains financial records, makes financial reports to the Board, and answers financial questions. The Treasurer receives payments, makes purchases, approves expenses, and processes reimbursements. The Treasurer is an appropriate role for new or existing members*. *Current non-members may be nominated for this position, but if elected they will need to join NYSCEEA prior to beginning their Board work. Two-Year and Four-Year College Director This position is responsible for recruiting and engaging members from four and two-year colleges. This position will collaborate with the other membership directors to develop recruitment strategies and coordinate efforts. The Director will promote conference and programming information via related organizations, posting boards/listservs, and publications. All membership directors will assist the President and Vice-President with conferences or programming as they pertain to membership. Technology Chair To create and maintain a NYSCEEA website that serves members with pertinent information and also attracts and promotes NYSCEEA membership. To maintain the NYSEEA listserv.
